He and his daughter travel to Atlanta to check out a rising young star, hoping to repair their relationship at the same time.

Eastwood has not appeared on screen since 2008's Gran Torino (2008).

Trouble with the Curve marks Eastwood's long-time assistant director Robert Lorenz's full directing debut.

Sandra Bullock was previously approached to take on the role of the daughter, but scheduling difficulties prevented her from becoming involved.
