Robert Pattinson has made his first public appearance since Kristen Stewart's cheating scandal broke.
The Twilight star - who has kept a low profile after it was revealed his girlfriend had a fling with her Snow White And The Huntsman director Rupert Sanders - stepped out in New York for a series of media appearances, including a chat on US programme The Daily Show and the premiere of his new thriller Cosmopolis (2012).
On The Daily Show, Robert dodged host Jon Stewart's questions about his relationship and said: "My biggest problem in my life is that I'm cheap. I didn't hire a publicist and every awkward interview, most actors have things scripted. I'm going to hire a publicist."
Jon also presented R-Patz with a tub of ice-cream and joked: "The last time I had a bad break-up, Ben & Jerry's got me through the tough times, so I thought you and I could talk about things?"
Robert giggled but remained focused on his ice-cream before taking a bite and looking up at Jon.
Meanwhile, on the red carpet for the Cosmopolis premiere the heartthrob - who looked dapper in a blue suit - wasn't asked directly about the affair, but talked at one point about the movie's steamy sex scenes.
"I feel a little uncomfortable doing that. But I mean, some of the scenes in this were like complicated acting scenes, like during a sex scene which makes it - it's a very strange experience," he said with a smile.
