Fisher: Working with Caine 'honour'

Isla Fisher has revealed that working with Sir Michael Caine was a "huge honour".

Rise of the Guardians (2012) actress got to star alongside the British legend in Louis Leterrier's thriller Now You See Me.

"I worked with Sir Michael Caine! For me, that's a huge honour," she said.

The former Home And Away star, who is best known for appearing in comedies such as Wedding Crashers, Hot Rod and Confessions Of A Shopaholic, chose the dramatic role because she wanted to challenge herself.

"It was such a different role from anything I've done. I play this sexy bad-a** magician who swims with piranhas," she explained.

"If something really terrifies me, then I think I should do it. I don't see myself as particularly courageous or sexy or any of those things, so I took the role because that's just an interesting thing to do."

Isla - who plays an escapologist in the movie - is proud that she did all her own stunts, despite being "a really fearful person" in real life. She also had a close brush with death during an underwater stunt when a chain got caught.

"I thought it would be a good exercise for me to take on these kind of stunts and be more courageous. I was even chained underwater," she said.

Now You See Me, directed by Clash Of The Titans and Transporter director Louis, also stars Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Morgan Freeman and Woody Harrelson.
