Elizabeth Olsen has said that the forthcoming reboot of 'Godzilla' will be considerably darker than the derided 90s version, directed by Roland Emmerich.
When asked whether the new film would be better than Emmerich's attempt, the 'Martha Marcy May Marelene' actress laughed: “Yeah! Well, it’s definitely going to be different!
“It’s not light-hearted fare, it’s going back to its roots, and the core, the reason why the Japanese made it to begin with.”
The film is being made by Gareth Edwards, who shot to fame following the acclaimed low-budget sci-fi 'Monsters' in 2010.
'Kick-Ass' star Aaron Taylor-Johnson is said to be on board alongside Olsen, which is being produced by Legendary Pictures, the company behind Christopher Nolan's 'Batman' films.
