Knoxville: I want Bad Grandpa 2.

Johnny Knoxville has revealed he would like to make a Bad Grandpa sequel.

The practical joker stars as 86-year-old grandfather Irving Zisman, who decides to take his grandson Billy (Jackson Nicoll) to live with his father in the Jackass spin-off.

"That would be fun. We had a ball," said the Jackass creator.

"We were both really sad when this was over, because we had a lot of fun."

Johnny said his favourite scene was where his young co-star impersonated a girl to compete at a beauty pageant.

"The beauty pageant is one of the best things we have ever shot. That's because what he did in that is unreal. That alone is worth coming to see the movie," he said.

The 42-year-old admitted that Jackson's prankster persona on set is different to his real self.

"When he's in school, he doesn't get into trouble. And when my kids visited the set - they are two and four years old, he was totally gentle with them," he recalled.

"I was like, 'Wow, there is a sweet side to him. I never see that'. But we never ask to see it. We wind him up and let him go."

Bad Grandpa is in cinemas now.
