Winona Ryder lets slip news on Beetlejuice 2.

It sounds very much like Winona Ryder is involved in 'Beetlejuice 2'.

The star of the original movie hinted rather strongly in an interview with the Daily Beast that she could be on board.

"I'm kind of sworn to secrecy, but it sounds like it might be happening," she said, but added with caution: "It's a very precious movie to people. So there are a lot people like, 'DON'T'."

But it seems that the actress, who played teen goth Lydia Deetz in the first film, way back when she was 17, was enticed when she heard Seth Grahame-Smith was writing the script for director Tim Burton, the writer behind 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter' and Burton's 'Dark Shadows'.

"It's not a remake," she continued.

"It's 27 years later. And I have to say, I love Lydia so much. She was such a huge part of me. I would be really interested in what she is doing 27 years later."

"That's one of those movies where little kids stop me. I'm so associated with it. I think it gave me my career. I was such a weird looking kid."

"I would never go near a sequel if it was not Tim and Michael, Because those guys, I love."

It all tallies with Michael Keaton's recent confirmation that the sequel is indeed on.

Earlier this month, when cornered by a cameraman from gossip site TMZ and asked whether the movie was happening, he replied with a decisive yet solitary 'yes'.
