Rhode Island prosecutors on Monday dropped charges against Survivor winner Richard Hatch who had been accused of physically abusing his 9-year-old adopted son last April. No reason was for the dismissal was given.

Since he was arrested following his return from the South Pacific island where he appeared on the program, Hatch has maintained his innocence and has sued the town of Middletown, RI for wrongful arrest and defamation.
