Evangeline Lilly in talks for Ant-Man.

Evangeline Lilly has reportedly been offered the female lead role in 'Ant-Man' opposite Paul Rudd.

If she accepts the part, and let's be honest she'd have to be pretty dumb not to, the 'Lost' actress will join Rudd, Michael Douglas and Michael Pena in the Marvel epic, which is being written by Joe Cornish and Edgar Wright, and is also being directed by the latter.

'Ant-Man's' plot details have yet to be released, but, according to Variety, insiders believe that Lilly might be in line to play the daughter of Douglas' Dr. Hank Pym, who is also the love interest of Rudd's Scott Lang/Ant-Man.

There's just a small problem though, because in the comics Pym doesn't actually have a daughter.

However, Marvel fans have already predicted, and come to terms with the fact, that Wright, Cornish and producer Kevin Feige's adaptation is probably going to be a tad different to the comics.

The studio have yet to comment on Lilly's participation in 'Ant-Man,' but the fact that shooting is set to begin in Georgia in April means that there should be an announcement sooner rather than later.
