Morgan Freeman Will Join Cast of ‘Ted 2'.

Ted 2 looks to have added a little gravitas to its ensemble, with the news that Morgan Freeman has agreed to join the comedy sequel.

Freeman will apparently play a civil rights lawyer, who comes to Ted’s rescue when the foul-mouthed bear finds himself experiencing some legal difficulties.

Not much else has been revealed about the plot as yet, although we do know that Mark Wahlberg will be returning as Ted’s human buddy, John Bennett.

He’ll be joined by Amanda Seyfried, replacing Mila Kunis as the female lead, while Seth MacFarlane will of course be back to voice the titular critter.

Directed by MacFarlane and co-starring Jessica Barth, Ted 2 is scheduled to open in the UK on 10 July 2015.
