Holdovers Take Big Plunge


With the exception of Space Cowboys, which declined 31 percent in its third week and What Lies Beneath, which lost 32 percent in its fifth week, all other holdovers on the top 15 list, dropped more than 40 percent, including Sony's Hollow Man, which plunged 53 percent in its fourth weekend and Godzilla 2000, which sank 60 percent in its second weekend.

The top ten films over the weekend, according to final figures compiled by Exhibitor Relations (figures in parentheses represent total gross to date):
