Disney is developing a new, live-action movie musical of 'Snow White,' which will expand upon the story and music from the animated classic.

The studio is in negotiations with Erin Cressida Wilson ('The Girl on the Train') to write the script. Songwriters Benj Pasek & Justin Paul ('La La Land') are attached to pen new songs.

Prolific producer Marc Platt will produce. No director or actors are attached yet.

Disney is also working on a spinoff of sorts to 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' following Snow White’s sister. 'Rose Red' will also be a live-action film, joining Disney’s slew of live-action reboots on the horizon.
