Biography

Kyle MaclachlanKyle MacLachlan is renowned for two performances for director David Lynch: in Blue Velvet on the big screen and as the deliberate, pie-craving FBI Agent Dale cooper in Lynch's popular television series "Twin Peaks," for which MacLachlan received two Emmy nominations and a Golden Globe Award.

MacLachlan made his film debut in another Lynch film, the futuristic drama Dune and went on to receive acclaim for the alien thriller The Hidden. He first worked with Mike Figgis on "One Night Stand" and starred opposite Elizabeth Shue in The Trigger Effect. His other credits include The Flintstones, Mad Dog Time, Showgirls, Rich in Love, Where the Day Takes You and starring as legendary Doors keyboardist Ray Manzarek in Oliver Stone's The Doors. He will next be seen in the forthcoming update of Hamlet starring with Ethan Hawke, Bill Murray, Sam Shepard, Liev Schrieber and Steve Zahn.

On television, MacLachlan starred in the HBO award-winning film "Against The Wall" and in the Showtime original sci-fi film "Roswell." He made his directorial debut in 1993 with an episode of the comic hit series "Tales From the Crypt." Most recently MacLachlan starred in the telefilm "The Spring."
