Helena Bonham CarterHelena Bonham Carter was brought into the world via Golders Green, London, England, on 26th May 1966.

Born into a family of aristocrats, Politicians and film professionals, it is easy to understand how Helena made her career choice! Rejecting a further education, Helena pursued her dream to become an actress and landed her first film role at the age of 18, as Lady Grey, in Trevor Nunn's Lady Jane (1986).

Helena's star quality was acknowledged following her commendable performance in room with a view, A (1986), starring opposite Daniel Day Lewis. This was the launch pad, which propelled Helena's career into premier league.

Type cast as a 'period' actress, Helena played many parts in successful dramas like Howards End (1992), Wings of the Dove, The (1997) and Hamlet (1990), Avoiding such stereo-types and preconceptions, Helena successfully played the part of weirdo Marla in critically acclaimed Fight Club (1999), with Brad Pitt.

One of Helena's most recent roles in in Tim Burton's Planet Of The Apes (2001), playing one of the animals!
