Biography

In the two years since opening her management/production company, Roundtable Ink, GINA MATTHEWS has continued to combine her producing and management talents with her entrepreneurial spirit to create unique and high-profile projects for both film and television. She produced the thriller "Urban Legend" and its sequel, the recently released "Urban Legend 2: Final Cut." She is also the co-creator and executive producer of the hit series "Popular." She developed and produced two telefilms for Showtime: "Summer's End," starring James Earl Jones, which received Emmy Awards for Best Picture/Children's Special and Best Actor/Children's Special, and "The Wishing Tree," starring Alfre Woodard and Blair Underwood and directed by Ivan Passer.

Prior to creating her company, Matthews served as head of the feature literary department at Tavel Entertainment. Previously, she worked as vice president of production at David Rotman Productions. She began her career as a story editor with Laurence Mark Productions.
