Biography

Rebecca Romijn-StamosRomijn-Stamos was discovered by a Parisian modeling scout. During her semester break at the University of California in Santa Cruz, she traveled to Europe to pursue modeling and never looked back. Since then, she has captured the hearts and imaginations of fans and consumers around the world through her runway modeling, print ads, commercials, editorial lay-outs, TV shows and now movies.

In 1998, Romijn-Stamos became host of MTVs groundbreaking House of Style, the show that made Cindy Crawford and Daisy Fuentes household names. In 1999, People Magazine named her one of the “40 Most Fascinating Television Stars.”
Romijn-Stamos then began to segue into other areas of television. Last year, Rebecca married David Spade’s character, Finch, on a season-ending one-hour episode of Just Shoot Me. She reprised the role in the hit series last fall. Her television acting debut came in an episode of Friends, playing as one of the show’s characters referred to her the most beautiful woman in the world, who just happened to keep the filthiest, most disgusting apartment in New York City.

With the success of House of Style and Just Shoot Me, it was not long before the film community began to take notice. Romijn-Stamos appeared (as herself) in the blockbuster comedy Austin Powers - The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999)

Romijn-Stamos graced the cover of the 1999 Sports Illustrated “Swimsuit Issue,” which was one of the biggest selling issues in the magazine’s history. Her first magazine cover was French Elle, and over the past eight years, she has been featured on covers around the world, including Cosmopolitan (including their biggest selling issue of the ’90s), People, Marie Claire, Glamour, Elle, FHM, Shape and her infamous GQ cover with Dennis Rodman.
She has been featured in numerous prestigious print and television ad campaigns, including Tommy Hilfiger, Pantene, Miller Lite, Halston and her very own Got Milk? ad, shot on location at Times Square. People magazine twice named her as one of the 50 Most Beautiful People in the World, in 1997 and 1999, and GQ dubbed her their Woman of the Year in their 1997 Men of the Year issue.
