Biography

MICHAEL KAMEN has had an illustrious career as a composer, artist, arranger, conductor and collaborator. Since his early days playing in a jug band, Kamen has worked with everyone from Pavarotti to Pink Floyd; he has written every kind of music from chart-topping rock ballads to sensuous compositions for the Joffrey Ballet and composed scores for numerous films from Lethal Weapon (1987) to Mr. Holland's Opus (1995).

In that time, Kamen has gained the recognition of his peers as a master of his craft and has been awarded three Grammys and has been nominated for countless Oscars and Golden Globe Awards.

In 1975, he scored his first major film, The Next Man, starring Sean Connery. His list of film work includes some of the most successful films of all time.
