RICHARD JENKINS reunites with the Farrelly Brothers after his cameo role as the apathetic psychiatrist in "There's Something About Mary (1998)" and his co-starring role of a shady cop pursuing Jim Carrey in their forthcoming release, "Me, Myself & Irene (2000). "
Jenkins recently completed a role in "Barber Project, The (2001)," from the
Coen Brothers. He also co-starred in Scott Hicks' motion picture adaptation of the bestselling novel "Snow Falling on Cedars (1999)," Sydney Pollack's romantic drama, "Random Hearts (1999)," and Mike Nichols's "What Planet Are You From? (2000)"

Jenkins grew up in DeKalb, Illinois, and studied theater at Illinois Wesleyan University. He performed in many regional theaters including a 15-year stint at the Trinity Repertory in Rhode Island, where he served as the company's Artistic Director for four years.
