Biography

JOSS WHEDON is the executive producer and creator of the acclaimed and popular series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," which just completed its fourth season, and the recent spin-off series "Angel."

He earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Screenplay for Toy Story. His big screen writing credits also include the feature film Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the fourth installment in the Alien series, Alien Resurrection.

After receiving a degree in Film Studies and Literature from Wesleyan University, Whedon moved to Los Angeles and landed his first writing job on the staff of "Roseanne." He later pulled double duty on the series "Parenthood," co-producing and writing a number of episodes.
