Neil Corbould won an Academy Award for special and prosthetic effects on Gladiator. He has won BAFTA Awards for Saving Private Ryan (1998) and Fifth Element, The (1997). Corcbould got his start in the Special Effects department of the film Superman: The Movie (1978), working under the guidance of Academy Award winner Colin Chilvers. After working in Morocco on another Ridley Scott adventure, Black hawk Down (2001). Corbould's brother Chris supervised the special Effects for the fist Mummy, The (1999).
