Biography

DAVID HOBERMAN recently co-founded Hyde Park Entertainment, a feature film co-financing venture with partner Ashok Amritraj.

He was formerly the founder and President of Mandeville Films, which had an exclusive pact with the Walt Disney Studios. Mandeville produced George of the Jungle, the tenth most successful film of 1997, as well as I'll be Home For Christmas, The Sixth Man, Mr. Wrong and Senseless. Hoberman also executive produced Garry Marshall's The Other Sister and The Negotiator.

Before founding Mandeville Films, David Hoberman was President of the Walt Disney Motion Picture Group for six years, overseeing production and marketing for the three Disney production companies, Touchstone Films, Hollywood Pictures and Walt Disney Pictures.

Films produced during his tenure include Dead Poet's Society, Good Morning Vietnam, Beaches, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Ruthless People, Pretty Woman, Honey, I Shrunk The Kids, Ransom, Stakeout, What About Bob?, Sister Act, Alive, What's Love Got To Do With It?, Nightmare Before Christmas and When A Man Loves A Woman. He was an executive at the studio for a total of ten years.
