Biography

Peter Mitchell previously collaborated with Don Roos on "The Opposite of Sex" and "Love Field," which Roos wrote. Mitchell's other film credits include "Ernest Saves Christmas," Wes Craven's "The Serpent and the Rainbow," "Boris and Natasha," "The In Crowd" and "The Men's Club" starring Roy Scheider, Harvey Keitel and Stockard Channing.

Mitchell began his career in his native Australia where he was a fashion designer. While in Sydney, he began to make a name for himself as a costume designer for ballets, operas and theatrical productions. He then moved to Los Angeles to start his own couture line designing for such actresses as Shirley MacLaine and Liv Ullman.

He then went on to serve as costume designer on numerous television programs including "The Underworld," "The Big Easy," "The Kindred," "Under Suspicion," "The Yearling," "Eden," "Harts of the West" and "The Incident" among others.
