Biography

LARRY MADARAS served as first assistant editor (under Christopher Greenbury's supervision) on three previous Farrelly brothers films: "Me, Myself & Irene (2000)," "There's Something About Mary (1998)" and "Kingpin (1996). " SAY IT ISN'T SO (2001) marks his first assignment as film editor.

Madaras grew up in Columbia, Maryland, and majored in film studies at the University of Maryland. Following graduation, he drove out to Los Angeles to become a film editor and apprenticed on a number of low-budget features for cable and the independent market.

Madaras began his industry career with the advent of computer editing on machines such as the Avid. He became proficient with the new technology, and quickly landed his first major assistant's job on the
Farrellys' 1996 comedy, "Kingpin (1996). " He also worked with Greenbury as his
assistant on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks film, "American Beauty (1999). " Additional credits include "Most Wanted (1997)" and "Maker, the (1997). "
