Steven first attracted the attention of international filmgoers in the title role of Derek Jarman's highly-praised EDWARD II, which won numerous prizes at festivals around the world. He went on to star in Ridley Scott's 1492: CONQUEST OF PARADISE, Michael Mann's THE LAST OF THE MOHICANS, Christopher Hampton's CARRINGTON, Antonia Bird's FACE, Carl Schenkel's TARZAN AND THE LOST CITY and Buddy Giovinazzo's EVERYONE DIES (aka THE UNSCARRED). On television, he took the lead role in the BBC's IVANHOE.
