He’s six foot four inches tall, with broad shoulders, dark brown hair, blue-gray eyes, and strong, almost-handsome features. His reedy mid-range voice cracks when he shouts, and he speaks with a muted, rather generic British accent and a rapid, clipped, dry delivery that lends itself to glibness and innuendo. A gifted silent actor, very much “in his body,” with a mobile, expressive face and an uninhibited ease of gesture, he excels at projecting humor and dangerousness. He has appeared mostly in comedies and action films, often as a villain or morally ambiguous “charming rogue” type.
