Movie star HARRISON FORD's marriage troubles seem to be easing, as he plans to spend Christmas (00) at home in New York with his estranged wife, MELISSA MATHISON, and their two children.

The actor and his E.T. screenwriter wife of 17 years put weeks of separation behind them at the end of last month (23-26NOV00) to spend Thanksgiving together. Ford announced he and Mathison has split at the beginning of November. In a statement, Ford wrote, "We sincerely hope that we can work out the differences." (KL/WNV/RGS)
