Recently divorced DENNIS QUAID feels sympathy for TOM CRUISE - because he's had so much more media speculation about his separation.

Quaid split from wife MEG RYAN last year (00) and their divorce became finalised earlier this week (16JUL01). But fortunately for Quaid, it was Ryan who received most of the media attention, and he now says he's quite happy being single for a bit. He says,

"I feel sorry for Tom Cruise, at least they haven't written about me with any guys! So I have to be grateful for something. But being single isn't so bad. It's actually - good. I like it, I really do, it's like, fun. " (SVD/U/ES)
