LATEST: Hollywood superstars GWYNETH PALTROW, MERYL STREEP and NICOLE KIDMAN are starring together in a new movie - but won't appear alongside each other in any of the scenes.

Instead, THE HOUSE will be a triple-storylined film based on the award-winning MICHAEL CUNNINGHAM novel.

The plot revolves around three women in different periods of the 20th century. They only have one thing in common - VIRGINIA WOOLF's best-selling novel MRS DALLOWAY.

Streep will play the part of Woolf herself, who is working on the novel in 1923 as she recovers from depression. The second story has Nicole as an unhappy housewife who reads the
novel in 1949 as she awaits the birth of her first child. Paltrow is a modern day New Yorker planning a party for an AIDS-stricken former lover, who nicknamed her Mrs Dalloway.
